In order to earn the summer incentive award, students must blog at least 15 times throughout the summer with postings in at least 2 of the 3 months: June, July, and August. The entries must be at least 5 sentences long, written in complete sentences, and follow capitalization and punctuation rules.
To post a comment, click on the title of a post to view the comment box. Once the entry is typed, choose Name/URL from the "Comment As" drop down menu. Type your first name and last initial, then click continue, leaving URL blank. You will be prompted to type a series of numbers and letters. Once that is complete, your blog entry will be emailed to me. I will approve it for posting and it will appear the next day.
Students may respond to the same question more than once.

One day I was going out to pick tomatoes. My dog dropped a ball at my feet and said " I want to play fetch." I was amazed after the one time she talked to me she wouldn't stop talking. I thought that she would just keep talking so I played the quiet game with her for around five seconds. She told me her complaints about being a dog and what she liked about being a dog. I was amazed by hearing her talk and also annoyed by it. But it was stiil amazing.
ReplyDeleteOne day I was walking home from the park when I ran into a talking baby deer. It said, "Hello, I come in peace."
ReplyDeleteThen I screamed and hid behind a tree.
The baby deer said, "what are you so afraid of, I won't hurt you."
I came out from behind the tree and said, "OK, do you want to be friends?"
We walked and talked together to the gas station and I bought us chocolate and strawberry ice-cream. It was so delicious and we both got a brain freeze. We started walking back to my house and we found a big walking stick. We played fetch together and had a great time. After that we both had to go home. We decided that we would be best friends forever and we made plans to see each other tomorrow.
One day a heard a faint "Can someone let me in.?" outside the door. I went to answer the door but no one was there so I looked down and there was my cat... talking. I opened the door still trying to figure out if my cat could talk. Then she said thank you and walked away like it was no big deal. It was a big deal! I asked her all the questions I could think of while she just stared up at me until I was done. " Yes I know I'm a talking animal, It feels so good to talk." she said. Then went on and on talking. I really wanted to put duck tape on her mouth even though I was amazed. We became better friends that day and have remained friends. Even though talking to your pet and having them talk back is cool it's also a little freaky.
ReplyDeleteOne time I was playing tag with my friends in the woods. I was hiding in a tree when I heard a strange noise. It sounded like a baby rattle then a hiss. Then I saw a long, spotted rattlesnake. I was scared, but then the snake said, "Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you." I yelled, "It's a talking snake!" My friends ran over to me and we all climbed up the tree.
ReplyDeleteOne day I came home from camp. I heard a voice that I've never heard before. It said, "Feed me. Feed me." "I looked down to my dog and said was that you?" He said,"Yes! It Was." Then, I screamed and said,"I can't believe I have a talking dog! When he was done eating, he said"Let's go play!" So, we played for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteOne day I was bored as bored can be so I went outside to jump on our trampoline and my chicken Red came up to me and said, ''Do you have any any any mealworms?'' I was about to go inside when I asked her if she said something but by this time she was gone then I saw her come running and she said, ''Yes I do talk and and and no your not not not hearing things.''
ReplyDeleteso I sat out there for an hour just talking about very interesting things that people would never talk about. So I finally said it was time for me to go inside. I said good by talk to you later, gave her some mealworms, and went inside.
One day I was bored so I went outside to play with my dogs. Then I heard something. So I looked down an saw a lizard. It said again "can you tell your dogs to stop chasing me?" I was amazed. Then of course my dogs came up to me. They saw the lizard and of course chased it. So I want inside.
ReplyDeleteOne day I went outside yo pick tomatoes. I saw a deer in my yard and it didn't run away. I heard it say "Can you help me get this tomato?" I said no those are my tomatoes." I stared and then it left so I picked the tomatoes. Then went inside.
