Fourth of July

Research the Fourth of July holiday. What did you learn?

1 comment:

  1. Fourth of July celebrates the agreement of the Declaration of Independence, when the U.S.A. was born. 1870 was the year they declared 4th of July a national holiday.
4th of July is also known as Independence Day. Fireworks are a tradition because of John Adams. He wrote a letter to his wife in 1776 saying that he wanted 4th of July to be celebrated with fireworks and we have been doing so since 1777. Across the country Americans eat about 155,000,000 hot dogs on the 4th of July as they watch traditional parades and firework displays.
